Eyes – The best peripheral device a human has

Apart from listening to people talking, the ear has other works too. Like listening for a wild animal preparing to pounce while you are out in the wild, like listening to a crackling branch over head etc. It also helps you maintain balance while walking, which is something a human really needs as a human walks in a very unstable equilibrium.
There is the sense of touch, but you would know only after the wild animal has touched you with this sense. With the sense of smell, you are going to smell out the animal only if its a smelly beast, not otherwise. You don’t have much use for the sense of taste out there in the wild as you are not the one whos going to be eating the wild animal most probably.
It is only with your eyes that you can keep a look out. And that is why eyes are precious.
Well, gone are the days when we had to live in the wild with monkeys for neighbors. We all live in civilizations, except perhaps the forest rangers who choose still to live in the wild for the welfare of the animals there.
So now that we are domesticated, we can use our senses for better things. We can now treat our senses with good things that they would enjoy. Like great music, great sights to see and great food with great taste and smell, and a great massage to give a treat to the sense of touch.
All homes have show cases, aquariums and so many other decorations these days, and guests arrive only during evenings, so that there is no intervention of Sunlight in the artificial lighting that is setup to project the show pieces.
Neighbors envy, owner’s pride. Treat your neighbor’s eyes, make him envious, and take pride in it. Humans really need to grow up.
