I got an SBI credit card on January. The credit limit was relatively small compared to the other cards that I have got, so I didnt use it for about 2 months. A few days ago, I tried to make a payment at a restaurant with it and they said the card got declined. I was shocked. Luckily I was alone so I just gave another card, settled the bill and came back. Later, I tried to make another payment online and that too got decliend.

I called the helpline number and asked them whats up with the card? Why issue a card when they dont let me use it? They said it was active till a few days ago, and on March 7th they had blocked it since the card had remained unused for a long time. Now I need to give a letter to get it activated again.

Why the hell would I do that? If they wont me to keep on using the card to prevent it from getting it blocked, I dont need the card. How would I trust such a card if I take it along with me for travel or something?

The State Bank of India might be the largest bank in India, and one of the topmost banks in the world, but the credit card that they issue simply sucks in all aspects.
