.I have got an open source software installed on my ubuntu laptop called KStars, which is connected to a few remote servers from which it fetches data and shows what exactly the sky above my geographical location looks now, would look later during the day, and then later at night. I can forsee what I would see at night on the software, with its predictive calculations. So, I just make notes during evenings, and star gaze at nights to find out that what the software and the servers say are absolutely correct. But watching the sky on a computer screen can never match watching the sky thru a telescope.
