The one thing that google could not beat was bloggers. Though it has created the page rank strategy, which is something that assigns a rank to the quality of the blog, its popular website blogger.com is not very popular these days. Only loosers who dont know how to create a blog and stuff usually go to blogger.com, and wiser people like me stick to wordpress scripts hosted by oneself. I dotn go to wordpress.com, but I download the scripts from wordpress.org, and have it hosted on my own server pointed by own domain.

Well, Mymo.in is a multiuser blog just like wordpress.com where people can actually come over and signup for their own blogs. What did you think I am doing in Pondicherry? Just sitting around and taking massage therapy all the while? I am contributing a good amount to blogging myself, and helping people to get their own blogs in different domains than the boring so called popular ones.

I happened to come across a Korean Blog today. It is a blog of an exchange student, which I quite enjoyed reading. Korea is a place that has fascinated me. Next to Vietnam, the people of Korea are the most hard working people on earth, and the Americans know that as they have taken over South Korea, and the North Korean area is communist. The life in South Korea is luxurious, while it is not so really in the north, as it is run by a dictator, and the punishments are quite severe if you let out a loose word against the dictator, and the whole of your family including your parents, spouse, kids, cousins, brothers, sisters, and their spouses and children, and any one at all in your family circle will be sent to jail. And the conditions at the jail are not quite good. People have to live on mice there.

Or so says Discovery Channel and National Geographic Channel. Well, we never know for sure. Journalists always give out their points of view, which need not be true. Everyone would have their own view, and TV channels would make programs in a way that would make them the most money from advertisments and give them a good viewership. If you want the facts, you should be reading an induvidual’s blog like this, and he will give you the real picture of Korea.

Its just about 4 months since I first visited Goa, stayed there for a week, and time has come for me to plan my next trip there. During the season, which is during December. I have been celebrating my birthday alone for the past few years, and this year too I have planned to pack my wife away to her home for a month during December and settle myself in Goa for about 15 days from November 28th to December 13th. The bloody airfares have gone up, and I guess I will have to travel by train this time and save about 8000 bucks.

I will not be taking a hotel reservation this time. No online booking or nothing. I plan to land there and change rooms every 2 days across every part of Goa and enjoy the whole of Goa. God a budget of Rs 50,000 all inclusive. A jeep would cost Rs 1000 a day, thats Rs 15000, stay would cost another 20,000 in total, and beer would cost another Rs 5000, then the remaining would be for food and fuel. That is a lavish budget I guess, for a man traveling alone to Goa, and that too a low profile Indian who has to blog for a living, and design websites once in a while.

It has got a fair number of users, not over 3 digits yet, but just yesterday I realized that most of the blogs that are created in those multi user sites are spam.

One good way is to staff someone and get your blog monitored and check every new blog registration and repeatedly check all blogs for bad content. Well, it is hard. What on world is easy? Nothing.

Its been raining heavily all over south India for the past 2 weeks. And still I cant sleep without an AC. Outside its coooool, must be 21 or 22 degrees, and my ac is at 22 too, and the compresser isnt running most of the time. I could just settle for the fan, but Im still wanting the AC for some reason.

It must be psychological, or a need for dry air. AC sucks out all the moisture when the compressor is running. I drink a lot of water when Im in an air conditioned room, and I dont feel that need when Im outside biking in the Sun. People are supposed to be drinking more water when they are out in the Sun, but I happen to be drinking more when Im inside an AC room.

It would he hard to believe for most people. But thats what Im doing. This is because when the AC sucks out all the humidity from the air, the air that we brethe out has some moisture, is also being sucked out, and when we brethe in dry air, the water content of the body reduces naturally, and we become thirsty, and we drink water. Thats the logic.

On this rainy night, I find that the AC is taking no strain in sucking the heat inside and passing it out to the water cooled sun shade outside. Still, it is a waste of power.

Other People’s Blogs

Companies are often surprised by the amount of time and effort it can take to produce one good blog. Blogging software makes the writing and publishing process easier, but responding to reader comments, finding time to write regularly, and creating links and multimedia components can take some time. For this reason, many companies place all their effort on creating their own blogs, sometimes to such an extent that they ignore other blogs in cyberspace. This is truly a mistake, since in many cases, other blogs can have as much impact on your marketing as your own online efforts!

What Are Other Bloggers Saying About Your Company?

One of the first steps you will want to take when marketing using other blogs is to find out what others bloggers and online writers are saying about your company and your blog. Other people’s and companies’ comments are read by readers and potential customers, too.

Many blogging software packages allow you to search for links to your blog or company website in other people’s blogs. You can also run a goggle check on your blog name, company name, and URL addresses to see what others are saying about you. Regularly checking online to see what is being said can help you get a sense of how your efforts are working. Remember: blogging is a community effort, with links in other blogs and comments in other blogs affecting how readers see you. You need to keep track of how you are doing to understand how your online presence is affecting your business.

Responding to Other Blogs

Once you begin reading comments about your company and online presence, you may well wish to respond to the comments others have made. Before you do so, do take some first:

?Read and reread the comments you wish to respond to and make sure that you understand them. Make sure that you understand the tone as well as the words – you will look and feel silly if you respond angrily to a post that turns out to have been written in a teasing or tongue-in-cheek manner.

?Calm down. In cases where comments are negative, especially, it is easy with blog software to respond at once. It is better to calm down first and allow yourself the time to respond in a clam manner.

?Stay clear and on topic. When you respond to a posting or blog, make sure that you are clear and that you stay on topic in order to prevent an out of control name-calling exchange. Clearly state what you are referring to, what comments you have about it, and what actions (if any) you are going to take or want to see taken.

?Decide how to respond. You can respond to a person directly, through their blog commentary, or through your own blog. If you respond to a blogger or commentary directly, be aware that other readers who have seen comments about your company may not read your comments. Plus, your email or response may eventually end up online, anyway, possibly edited or cut from context. Responding via someone else’s blog gives you more control, but still has you remain on someone else’s space. Commenting on your own blog gives you the most control and ensures that readers will come to your blog to read your comments. Of course, you can also choose to not respond at all.

I dont know how google’s spiders missed webaholics.co.in. How come? Thsi domain has been around for the past 3 years, and has got a blog for about 4 months. And google couldnt index it untill I submitted it. WordPress is supposed to be a very effective seo blog software. It takes care of all seo services by itself, and has got all sorts of pinging services built in.

Even a week after it was submitted to seach engines (thanks to google who have already indexed about 10 pages), has not indexed the site fully.

Can anyone help me get it indexed better so that I can drive more traffic to the site and make more money from it? Since there is no traffic as of now, I dont see any point in placing any ads on the site at all.

The best thing to do would be to get something like Paragon Motor Club Roadside Assistance so that your help is just a call away if your car breaks down on the highway. Paragon Motor Club is the premier online marketer of consumer-friendly, affordable Extended Vehicle Warranties, Roadside Assistance Plans, Tire & Wheel Road Hazard Protection, and Fleet/Commercial Division roadside protection.

You need to get road side assistance, extended warranties, and road hazard protection if you would be driving a lot. Without these, if something happens, you could be in a lot of trouble and would end up spending a lot of money, and time on it. Having these handly would help you at times of trouble.
