Thankfully, God, had made me one of the few million people in the world who have reached a height of 11 KMs above the ground with the help of an aircraft. I have done this quite a few times. I fly in the economy mode. I dont like wasting money on expensive tickets and I really dont like wasting money on Airport Tax. I, when ever possible, go for $10 tickets, and with tax that coes to $50. Premium airplane companies sell tickets for $100 plus thetax of $40, unfortunately, I have never boarded a premium domestic airplane as yet, Though I have a Gold Jet Airways Credit Card which has got over 20,000 miles that can be exchanged for free miles in tikcets, and I have a Jet Previllege Silver Card, which is a silver membership in Jet Airways frequent flyer club, and I too have about 4 coupons that offer 50% discount on tickets purchased before Jan 31, 2009, I somehow feel that I shouldnt be wasting money on Jet Airways. Im not such a rich man to be spending so much money from my own pocket.
Anyways, I thought i would just review a few aircrafts and companies that I have known and used in the past.
Jet Airways was started off buy a guy who has ages and ages of hands on experience in Civil Avation. The tickets are not cheap, but not costlier than the traditional Indian Airlines Charges. The thing is that the economy class doesnt look like a cramped up city bus like in GoAir, Spice Jet and the newly converted Simplyfly Deccan (Formerly Air Deccan)
Inside a jet Airways aircraft, everything comes free, you dont have to open your wallet to take out 10 or 20 rupees to buy a glass of hot water and milk powder, sugar and Bru Cappuchino 12 KM above land. They give you readymade coffee, if you ask for it, and probably a good meal if the flight it long, and thats all included in the package. And above all, if you are travelling alone and get bored, you get to chat with a pretty flight attendent as well. And all of them are beautiful, and a bottom pincher like me would never get slapped is what I heard. The flights are on time most of the time, late only if there is a congestion in the airport. And the attendents on the airport will take extreme care of you and for that all you have to do is show some small signs of stress because of the delay and give a look trying to say “Its All Your Fault” at the staff.
Go Air is just a mediocre company with about 5 Airbus 320 that they have rented from somewhere, and are never on schedule therefore. It is a part of some Bombay based biscuit company, forgot the name. They charge Rs 500 to anywhere in India that is a little over $10, excluding Airport Taxes. Flight Attnedents are mostly ugly and dark MEN, who might have failed to get into the modelling industry since they didn’t use enough of Fair n Handsome cream (As Seen on TV). Very few female attendents are in their pay roll, so if you are lucky, you might get to se one, but they come only for garbage collection, and there is no possiblity to chat them up since they will be running around always trying to serve all of the 250 passengers on board. And did I mention that there are only 2 Flight attendents on board.
Spicejet is similar. I dont see much difference between spicejet and GoAir. Their fleet is larger thats it. Everything else is the same.
Ive never travelled in Indian Airlines, its costly, and the pilots are moving out to private companies, and lots of planes have been skidding off the runway these days, and we dont know when the next one would drop from the sky. All flight attendents are wound up in sarees, in the most diplomatic way that there is no hope for any bottom or hip pinching as i heard it.
Indigo’s girls come with mini skirts and stalkings. Stunning, sexy, and they give you a naughty smile if you look below their skirts. Their legs I mean, what did you think? Well, while moving around the cabin once, I did brush a bit hard on the bottom of an attendent as cassually as possible, and she just made way, smiled and turned around again. Shameless females. Guess this is what she is being paid for.
I need to flykingfisher. I must do it. Hopefully, the next trip I make will be on a Kingfisher Aircraft. It belongs to Vijay Malya for gods sake. Prettiest girls you will ever find on Indian Skies. and I dont think they would really mind if you try to get a little naughty with them. Need to give that a try. I think by the time I get rich enough to be a real frequent flyer in Jet Airways or Kingfisher, the girls would be my Son’s age.
This I started to write trying to explain what I know about how things happen in the Indian skies, and since I wrote it with a slight hangover thanks to last night’s vodka, it turned out to become a mid air bottom pinching guide. Im sorry.
