Airtel Mobile Loosing its touch

For some time now, airtel has been the top notch player in the mobile phone industry in India. But god knows what the hell, airtel too is loosing touch. Every one else sucks, and though I use vodafone just for the name of it, I am not really happy with it.

What will happen if all mobile companies keep their networks busy and stop providing decent services to the people around? Who would serve the country with a billion people and a trillion mobile phone connections? Maybe there would be a new player who would be soon coming in to take over all these service providers and become a monopoly.

Addiction to mobile phone has affected almost everyone in the world, particularly Indians, and no drug rehabilitation center will be able to help them out, as even in a drug rehab you find people talking on mobile phones.

And the Next Trip to Goa is Planned

Its just about 4 months since I first visited Goa, stayed there for a week, and time has come for me to plan my next trip there. During the season, which is during December. I have been celebrating my birthday alone for the past few years, and this year too I have planned to pack my wife away to her home for a month during December and settle myself in Goa for about 15 days from November 28th to December 13th. The bloody airfares have gone up, and I guess I will have to travel by train this time and save about 8000 bucks.

I will not be taking a hotel reservation this time. No online booking or nothing. I plan to land there and change rooms every 2 days across every part of Goa and enjoy the whole of Goa. God a budget of Rs 50,000 all inclusive. A jeep would cost Rs 1000 a day, thats Rs 15000, stay would cost another 20,000 in total, and beer would cost another Rs 5000, then the remaining would be for food and fuel. That is a lavish budget I guess, for a man traveling alone to Goa, and that too a low profile Indian who has to blog for a living, and design websites once in a while.

Ravi.ms not up

The domain registered with ravi.ms is not up yet. What the fuck? I have been running a hosting company myself for quite some time, and I know that new domains should start showing up the sites almost immediately. This is over 5 hours. Is there a problem with the registry? Or is it with godaddy?

The only problem with godaddy is that if we raise a ticket with them they take atleast 24 hours, and the reply is not always clear, and to solve each issue, it takes minimum 10 days this way. They have a phone number, and if we call them there, they take ages to respond, and there too they dont give a proper reply for anything at all.

Tuesday is a bad day. Last time I booked a domain called ravisgadgets.com with godaddy, and it came with a lot of problems free, and Ihad to cancel that hosting and moved it to hostgator, the domain is still with them this time, instead of going to enom, I went to these fellas, and my domain is not showing up anything. What am I supposed to do now?

I was hoping to set up the email address early enough, as I have already sent the word around that I would be starting to use the new mail box from tomorrow soon as i registered the domain not expecting any such problems.

Web 2.0 Service Reviews

There are lots and lots of Web 2.0 services budding these days, and they are all going thru their own promotional strategies, and at times we dont get any alerts of these new services, and if we miss out that is something useful for us, we are the loosers.

That made me look around for blogs that I can put up on my rss reader where I could get updates, and I found a co blogger, who writes a cool looking review site, and apart from just web 2.0, the site also reviews financial services, travel services, real estate, shops, and offers a good range of toolboxes.

If you got anything at all on your feed reader, you should have this site in there. and it would do you good.

And my feed hunt still continues.
