Out of sheer rotten luck, Im having to use a PC that has got a very slow ancient AMD single core processor with about 1 GB of Ram, a Mercury motherboard with a stone age display processor in it. Im running ubuntu. My ve got bad eyes, and I cant use my 17 inch monitor with the 1280×1024 resolution since I cant see a thing in it. So I prefer the 1024×768 resolution.
While Im not reading anything, I change the resolution to 1280×1024, and I see that the processor, the display adapter and the entire PC is fully struggling to show the frames on the screen. Why I wasted money on this dumb PC I dont know. Im unable to use some other dual core PC that are lying idle in the office since I have tuned this pc to my specifications, the password reminders have all the passwords saved, and getting another PC running and setting them and tuning them to my requirements another time would not be an easytask.
They say that bad display processors with poor capacity, when used with high screen resolution can give a very bad output. And that too when I was using a very superior ATI Display adapter, and that I had to switch back to a built in display adpater of a stupid board made it real hard for me now.
This has become a bottle neck for me and I am unable to bring out my potential in a day’s work because of this.
