The Air Conditioner

The Air Conditioner is a stupid useless invention by man, and I think its a complete waste of energy. Where are the good old days when people used to sleep in the cool breeze? These days, people have started using the AC so badly that 50% of the world is Air Conditioned, and the remaining 50% is suffering from the heat thats emmited from the outdoor units of these machines.

Bad things about an AC.

It sucks in 1800 Watts of electric power just to keep the room cool. It pumps out a lot of heat. It removes all moisture from the air. Your nose is dried as a bone in some time. It at times circulates stale air if the vent gets stuck with dirt.

Mosquitos find it cozy inside, and they just fly in and feed on us and burp. You could get too cozy and stay in that room without going out for work. AC makes you thirsty if you stay in it for a long time. It removes all moisture thats in your body.

Bad Bad AC. we need to return to the nature soon.

Star Gazing

There are not many people who are star gazing these days. People seem to be getting their information from National Geographic Channel and Discovery Channel that not many really bother to look up and find out if its really true.

But for the few people who do, there are better places than ebay to buy your stuff. Astromart.com is the leading portal for astronomy news, classified ads and telescope reviews. Here you can place your astronomy ads, read the latest news articles and check out the current reviews of newest telescopes and equipment and spot used binoculars for sale in the classified.

.I have got an open source software installed on my ubuntu laptop called KStars, which is connected to a few remote servers from which it fetches data and shows what exactly the sky above my geographical location looks now, would look later during the day, and then later at night. I can forsee what I would see at night on the software, with its predictive calculations. So, I just make notes during evenings, and star gaze at nights to find out that what the software and the servers say are absolutely correct. But watching the sky on a computer screen can never match watching the sky thru a telescope.
