Gifted as Humans are with spectacular brain power, which lies above all in the known universe, Man imagines a lot. National Geographic and the Discovery Channel are great examples for it.
Nasa brings in pictures from far away places in the universe. I dont understand how people judge chemical compositions of particles that lie light years away. Im not a chemist, but still you need to see things under a microscope to know the molecular structure, or do various tests on them and watch the color changes to determine what the chemical is, right?
I saw a programme on National Geographic a few days ago. It was called Naked Science. In that program, they made a time line of 12 hours, and said that they would cover the entire history of earth and the solar system in that 12 hours.
First the sun got burst out from the big bang and moved over to a far part of the milkey way, when the cloud of dust around the sun formed into planets, and the dust around the planets formed moons.
Earth was molten initially, but it cooled later.. Comets brought in water. Doesnt that sound a bit ridiculous? What they say is that passing comets is what that brought the water. And some microbe did photosynthesis and created oxygen which was used up to rust all the iron that was there in the sea water at that time, and that we will get more oxygen if we de-oxydize that iron than what we have right now, and more iron to make new cars.
I was completely irritated. why are reputed chanels like these misleading the kids? Kids these days are watching these channels hoping to get a greater exposure to the world. But this is all fake information.
I would just say that its just the wild imaginations of these guys that are put on show, and are not the real facts. Im beginning to dislike it day by day.
