Jaguar and Land Rover are famous around the world. I wont forget the Right Hand Drive Jaguar that the reporter used in Odessa File. The car with the heavy suspension. The villans placed a bomb in the suspension of the car and it explodes only when it hits a very big bump at a high speed, and not during the normal action of the suspension wheile the reporter, our hero, drives it.

The Land Rover too is a good brand. I have read about them in many books either. Have seen 1 in Pondicherry. But have been unlucky that I couldnt drive one yet. Now I guess that dream will come ture soon. Tata has bought these two brands, and they will be coming soon to India, God willing. I dont really plan to fly to UK to drive one of these.

Tata has done a good thing.

Sixty and still young, Ratan Tata in my opinion is working with the enthusiasm of a child.  He was making Truck Chassis and steel, now he is making top class cars, has made the cheapest car in the world which will hit the market in about 6 months, acquired a steel company, and now has acquired 2 major car brands.

While its just a dream for many to buy cars of these brands, it is almost impossible to buy the whole brand, completely for quite a big amount.

Tata doesnt pay from his pocket. Banks and Institutions lend him money, and those businesses that he acquires repay the loans. And he gets to own the brand. At this rate, in another 20 years before Ratan Tata would retire, guess where he would be.
