If I get selected for the “Kya Aap Panchvi Paas Se Tez Hain” game show hosted by SRK, and If I manage to win the money, Rs 5 Crore, $1.25 Million, what would I do with it?

I would stay there in Mumbai till the chq clears. Once it clears, I would come back to Chennai, take out my chq book, and buy Skoda or a Merc, drive it to Pondicherry, and go straight to the bank and get the Money Fixed so that It would earn me about 10% a year.

Then I would take a loan from that deposit and start building a house, spending about Rs 5 Lacs a month, for about 24 months, and build a big house. Then for the next 12 months income, I would furnish the house with the best thats available anywhere in the world. Glass windows and mirrors from Belgium, Beds and furniture from Malaysia, Electronics from Japan, such as a few Monster Plazma TVs, a few small sized LCD tvs, centralized sound system, a dedicated music system for myself in my private office at home etc.

And over the next few months, get a beautiful lawn around the land surrounding the house, dig a swimming pool, buy filtration equipment from Germany, decorate the lawn fully with fountains, stuff that you see on TV, and lighten up the whole place to make it the best lit picture perfect private place at nights.

I know none of these are going to come true, and I wouldnt be surprised if I never earn this kind of money even thru hard work. But I like the fantasy that I got this morning while watching the advertisment on TV.

This is the sort of fantasy that most people would be getting, and with that in effect, they just keep on sending the messages and making the phone calls. What people dont know is that, the producers of the show get paid for each message or call they receive, since the senders and callers are charged premium rates.

And they would end up becoming Crorepatis, and we end up with disappointment and wasted money. I have known people who have spend tens of thousands in sms to programs like these. Is this really the way a show should be commercialized?
