I have been paying an Income Tax to the government for about 4 years now. And i usually buy things from super markets, so what ever I buy comes with a bill and therefore I pay sales taxes too. I get services from here and there and I pay service taxes. I use phones heavily, I consume a lot of power, and I prefer the government’s postal department to send my letters than the private services, and therefore I am an income to the government.

The government is giving away free TVs to the lower income category of people, and give away basic needs almost for free. Free houses, free food and free clothes once in a while. They dont learn, they dont work, and they dont pay taxes like I do.

So why am I having to buy my own TV when I want a bigger one? Why cant the government buy one for me? I am a tax payer after all. What do I get in return? And why should I stand and watch my money being given away to the lower income group for free? Why isn’t the government working on ways to increase their income and just giving away stuff for free? If the government gives a pop up tv to a poor man, it should give an LCD tv to a tax payer right?
